11:22 pm - Whee !
At long last, nearly 20 years after a missed opportunity[1], I've seen The Sisters of Mercy live. Yay !

The gig itself was great, highlights for me being Alice, Temple of Love, and This Corrosion (with "audience participation" for the big chorus bits!).

[1] Ok, now I'm starting to think my memory is playing tricks on me. I was quite certain that I'd missed a chance to see them in Adelaide (around 1988 or so), and another some years later in Melbourne, however I can't find any Australian gigs listed in the various Gigographies around the place. Am I going mad ?

Edit: Set list was something like : Crash and Burn / Ribbons / Dr Jeep / Detonation Boulevard / Giving Ground / When You Don't See Me / Flood / (We Are The Same ) Suzanne / Will I Dream / Summer / Dominion / Slept / Alice / Anaconda / Romeo Down / Never land (a fragment) / This Corrosion / Something Fast / Lucretia, My Reflection / ? (instrumental) / Temple of Love

You mean Andrew's letting people in to Sisters Gigs again? Actually unlocking the door and everything?

(or did I already do that joke?)

Yeah, but twenty minutes late. Must have been some debate as to whether or not to let folk in...

Not sure if you're going mad or not, but there being a Melbourne gig rings bells for me too. Not that I had any clue about it, but I do remember a fellow PhD student bitching about missing it. Can't remember why though (underage, perhaps? Early 90s...? Possibly.)
