|11:40 am - Life in the construction zone ...|
So, we seem to be living in ConstructionWorld™ at the moment.
While at work, there are two demolition sites nearby - one building next door is rapidly disappearing under the bulldozers, and being carted away in small pieces (our building shakes when a large load of rubble is dropped into a dump truck). Another building is not quite as close, but the geometry of some buildings near it seem to make a jackhammer noise resonance chamber, aimed at our office.
At home, just behind our flat, the Partick station redevelopment is still (still!) going, well over a year (closer to 18 months) on. They're doing night works too, starting around midnight, which often seem to involve jackhammers and noisy air compressors and the like.
And finally, there are roadworks out the front of the flat, which start around 7am, and usually go on well into the night.
Must as I like construction sites, I wouldn't mind not living in one 24 hours a day. Hopefully at least one or two of them will finish soon !
