Fandom fan

(Link)
While my fannish index case was reading, and infection occured as a roleplaying fan, I now think of myself as carrier "fandom fan". I'm a fan of fandom - it's excesses, and silliness, and camaeraderie, and community. I never felt so at home as when I went to my first con (Aussiecon3!) - even though I didn't know a soul. It changed my life, I tells ya.

I figured the "yes" stood for this kind of fan.

Erm, slash fan? That is, all of the above, but mainly in a slash-fanfiction focus? I think I'd also call myself a fandom fan too -- all my closest friends come from there, after all!

Technically speaking isn't 'media' and 'tv' the same diff? I clicked both anyway... :-)

And how's crime fit in?

But there is no selection for Antifandom!
(It got it's hooks in me at a Worldcon well before Fandom did...).
Propeller beanies to max speed!
But we carry no clipboards...

So it is that the human race does crawl upon this ball we call the
Earth. A fractious race blessed with the best that both Jekyll and
Hide can give. If their paradox ever be dissected then the very
stars will be within our grasp. Well opposeable thumbs would also
help.

I am a movie fan, in that I watch lots of movies and join film clubs when I get the chance, but I'm not part of a film fandom. Likewise, I'm a crime fan in that I read lots of crime books but I'm not part of fandom of crime-reading types.
