I took this while on the ferry from Stromness to Scrabster (in between a zillion photos of the Old Man of Hoy). Opinions ?

It looks like it's rendered rather than photographed. Very cool.

It's highly reminiscent of a photo by Chris Packham (whom some of your UK correspondents will remember from The Really Wild Show, a kids natural history programme on BBC 1). His version of it placed highly in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. If I can find it online anywhere, I'll post a link - I think yours would stand the comparison. It's a great shot.
