Willpower ? What's that ...

In the flat we've moved in to, there is no standard aerial socket for a TV to connect to, only a cable connection. While we could just get a set-top antenna or even not bother at all, we do want to be able to watch TV with watchable quality from time to time, so we figured we'd go with cable (oddly enough, we did have Foxtel for a while back in Melbourne, but they dropped the ball when we moved and completely failed to follow up or respond to our calls).
I can see myself spending a fair bit of time around the TV when the Tour de France comes on, because the Eurosport channel (actually British Eurosport, apparently with a focus on British sports/sportspeople compared to normal Eurosport) will be showing it all, live. This compares rather favourably to the 30 minute daily updates plus a few live stages that SBS manages in Australia (although I'm not sure how much Oz cable channels show, since ... well, see above about Foxtel).
There's also the hope that at some random time we'll get to see some fencing (maybe during the Olympics, or maybe for some of the World Cup comps ... I can hope), and there could be occasional shows of some interest (still waiting for something to sound new and interesting on the SF side, though).

But ... There is a scary side, and part of it is the channel called "Men & Motors" (although based on the glimpses I got while channel hopping it should be named " Women & Motors"). Another part of it is E4, whose schedule looks like this :

... and so on. Very, very scary stuff.
