The flights from San Francisco to Frankfurt, then on to Edinburgh, were fairly uneventful. There was a little turbulence somewhere over the middle of the USA, but while it came on quite suddenly, it was relatively mild and only around for 15-20 minutes or so. Didn't sleep as much as I'd intended to, did finish reading my book, though - "Crossover" by Joel Shepherd (an Adelaidean, these days). At first glance (and maybe second glance too) it's a big bold Mary Sue - the protagonist is young, female, beautiful (blonde & blue-eyed, of course), super-strong (she's more of a construct than natural person), highly combat-trained, capable of hacking anything digital, etc. Still a fun read, though, and I'm happily reading the second in the series now.
So, now we just have to find jobs, and somewhere to stay, and buy a car, and I'll need to get myself a computer, and we probably want different mobile phone contracts (currently using pre-paid ones that we got last year for our holiday, which amazingly still work). Still not sure if we'll be in Edinburgh or Glasgow or elsewhere, since that depends on the jobs ... Wheeee.
Still, after all we've done in the last week/month/year, we should be able to handle a few little details like the above with few problems :-)
