First, a really cool photo of the Earth at night.
Second, apparently Glasgow hasn't had any weather for the last 20-odd hours.
(boy, I really hope that isn't just a weird bug that only shows up for me or something :-) )
Current Mood: calm
Ah yes, I had a higher res version of that pic some time ago (before I changed PCs :-) ) It's something like a 20 hour photo relay construct done by one of them satellite thingies. Note how bright the US is all over, in comparisen to the rest of the world, especially places like Las Vegas. Australia seems to have disappeared here, it was on the version I had, whcih curiously really just highlighted bits of the east coast. No surprises there :-)
Well, the image I posted links to a 2400x1200 one from NASA - Australia shows up a bit better at full size :)
|You're right. I hadn't realised I'd left the porch light on. Thanks.|
The whole Earth at night? How is that possible? Isn't half the Earth always in sunlight?

The photo is fab but it makes me so sad there's so much light pollution.

One of the things that always amazes me about that photo is North Korea.
It's almost literally just a black hole.
