 | 07:21 pm - From the "Why won't they just get on with it" department. Message to the relevant people/bits of government/companies in various Australian cities : Just bloody well get on with it and start undergrounding powerlines. Yes, it'll cost a lot of money, but pretending that a) it's not worthwhile, or b) it all has to be spent in one lump sum rather than spread over 20-30 years is just silly.
Message to the relevant people/bits of government/companies in the UK : Just bloody well get on with it and convert road signage to metric. Yes, it'll cost a lot of money, and require lots of organisation and planning, but it's about time. Other countries have managed it quite nicely, and the longer you leave it the harder it will get. Current Mood: Grumpy and sick.

But... That would mean they'd have to get organised! And agree on something rather than disgree because it was proposed by the opposition, even though it was something that your party wanted when they were in power last year but couldn't get through because the opposition refused on the grounds that it wasn't something that they proposed... ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/4484283/977366) | From: | bungo |

Might as well ask them to drive on the right side of the road, while you're at it. |
